Amp Rack

  • Laying out the components on the amp rack: JL Audio 12" sub, Alpine amp for the fronts, and Rockford Fosgate amp for the sub.
  • Another shot of the layout; this one includes the distribution block to split the 4 gauge into 8 gauge for the individual amps.
  • Back to the sub box; it's wired up, caulked, and has brackets attached to anchor it in the trunk.
  • Detail of the 12 gauge subwoofer wiring and gold-plated connectors.
  • The stock trunk carpeting goes back in over the Dynamat.
  • Drilling the sub box to mount the amp rack.
  • With the amp rack in place, time to screw it down and wire everything up.
  • Trim panels line the edges of the amp rack to provide a finished look. The top panel also conceals a blue neon light which replaced the original trunk light.
  • The finished product, carpeted to match the rest of the trunk.
