Markdown Confluence Plugin

Markdown syntax allows you to write using an easy-to-read, easy-to-write plain text format. Based on the original Perl version by John Gruber and Michel Fortin’s PHP port, I created a variation of his WordPress plugin which adds syntax used in Textile and Confluence.
The following behaviors have been added or modified:
- _word_ creates italics
- *word* creates bold
- [title|link] creates a hyperlink
I’ve also created a Greasemonkey Firefox script that makes it easy to get links to pages in this format.
