I joined a 7000-strong crowd for the inaugural Worldwide Photowalk in Philadelphia, where we had several dozen participants hailing from North Jersey to Harrisburg. We meandered through Old City and it's many historic sites, with groups expanding and contracting along the way.
Over beers and cameras, we reviewed shots and figured out what a small world it is. Among the other participants was the husband of Meadow's vet! It was a fun day, and a good chance to photograph something different while meeting some other photographers.
Technically, it was pretty simple shooting; I could've left everything home except the camera and 17-85 walkaround lens. This was also my first time out with the battery grip, which it did make vertical shots much more comfortable, and provided a good bit of elevation for no-tripod night shots on the tops of walls. The post-processing involved a lot of quarter-point levels - Aperture's answer to curves.
More photos from the group are posted in the Flickr group pool, including one of me shooting.
