Despite the cold and wind, I made the most of Sunday with a twilight shoot at Valley Forge. While shooting the sun on the clouds, a group of deer snuck up on me. One of my goals was to take another night cabin image. While working out the light, I noticed the fire pit and recalled a Joe McNally tip about giving your light some logic. Add a CTO gel, and instant fire! It could use a little texture and a lot less noise, but the effect is certainly a step in the right direction.
