From Red Rocks, Chandra and I drove to Steamboat Springs via Idaho Springs and Rabbit Ears Pass. As always, it was odd to see the slopes green instead of white and gondolas devoid of skis and snowboards. There was plenty of summer action, though. I rode a mountain bike up Howelsen Hill while Chandra did a yoga class, and then we both enjoyed an afternoon soaking in the Strawberry Park Hot Springs just out of town.
The biking and hot springs photos were taken with my iPhone; the fixed f2.8 lens does a decent portrait, but lousy landscapes! I had more fun with the dinner photos, using a white plate to bounce the on-camera flash. The waitress would've thought I was nuts, but she turned out to be a photographer herself.
The Colorado trip spans several albums; you can view the highlights from entire trip or the next stop at Rocky Mountain.
