With an extra day in Florida, I headed to Seaworld to visit the critters and take in the Shamu show, of course. It was a nice day, and my camera got plenty of exercise trying to keep up with everything. It was quick enough to capture most of the action and a decent number of low-light underwater shots; the one other worthwhile toy would've been a polarizing filter for the outdoor tanks.
One of the highlights was doing the Polar Expedition Tour and getting a behind the scenes look at the care of whales, polar bears, and penguins. I'm apparently the only one in the history of the tour to actually be excited about seeing the massive filtration systems they use :) Of course, the real attraction was getting to pet a penguin and being close enough to photograph them as they got up close and personal.
